The Guardian report raised questions over the role of Dentsu, the Japanese advertising and marketing group
that dominates the domestic market and has been involved in aggressive expansion overseas in recent years.
Dentsu has a sponsorship contract with the IAAF that runs for at least another decade ? a deal Lamine Diack

a Lucerne-based company called Athlete Management and Services. The Guardian described this company as
a subsidiary of Dentsu Sport.
Dentsu said that AMS was not a subsidiary of Dentsu Sport and had no investment by the overall Dentsu Group.
