スレチかもしれないが・・・
A beam is to be cut from ma log of diameter 1m, and is to have
a rectangular cross-section.
The strength of the beam varies as the width and as the square of the depth.
Find the dimensions of the strongest beam that can be cut.
長方形の断面図って梁の事？それとも丸太を直径に沿って真っ二つに切ったもの？
あと、the square of the depthのsquareって2乗の事言ってるんですか？それとも正方形の事なのか・・・
