To answer your first question,I think most Japanese people like to eat fast food these days.Therefore, we eat Japanese food less than before.
Regarding buying groceries from online supermarkets , I think it is quite convenience because some Japanese families are too busy to buy food at supermarkets.
As for your third question, I believe that giving tips is a good custom.
I think it is the good way to thank people.
