洋書の文法書で、分詞構文の意味上の主語の項での説明文で、
A participle can sometimes have a subject.
If there is no subject , then it is normally understood to be the same as in the main clause.
とあるのですが、２つ目の文のitは形式主語のitで後のto～を表しているのか、
単に前文のsubjectを表していて後のto～は判断の根拠を表しているのか、どっちなんでしょうか？
