We have arleady reached the point where there is almost nothing we cannot compel nature to do, but we are finding to our cost that nature cannot be enslaved without enslaving ourselves.

After you get what you want you dont want it.
If I gave you the moon, youd grow tired of it soon.
Youre like a baby, you want what you want when you want it.
But after you are presented with what you want, youre discontented.
Youre always wishing and wanting for something
when you get what you want, you dont want what you get,
and though I sit upon your knee, youll grow tired of me,
cause after you get what you want,
you dont want what you wanted at all.
Changeable, youve got a changeable nature,
always always changing your mind.
Theres a longing in your eye hard to satisfy,
and heres the reason why:
cause after you get what you want you dont want it,
baby I dont mean to make you blue but you need a talking to,
cause after you get what you want,
you dont want what you wanted at all.
I know you!

Hes not so good in a crowd but when you get him alone,
youd be surprised.
He isnt much at a dance but then when he takes you home,
youd be surprised.
He doesnt look like much of a lover,
dont judge a book by its cover,
cause hes got the face of an angel but
theres a devil in his eye!
Hes such a delicate thing but when hes starting to squeeze,
youd be surprised.
He doesnt look very strong but when you sit on his knee,
youd be surprised.
At a party or at a ball,
Ive got to admit hes nothing at all,
but in a Morris chair, youd be surprised.
He doesnt say very much but when hes starting to speak,
youd be surprised.
Hes not so good at the start but at the end of the week,
youd be surprised.
On a streetcar or in a train,
youd think he was born without any brains.
But in a taxi cab, and when he starts to grab,
I say in a taxi cab, youd be surprised.
This ones a real danger!

Small children are able to find and correct their mistakes for themselves.
However, what we must remember about this ability of children to become
aware of mistakes, to find and correct them, is that it takes time to work,
and that under pressure and anxiety it does not work at all.
But at school we almost never give it the time.
When a child at school makes mistake, say, in reading aloud,
he gets an instant signal from the environment.
Perhaps some of the other children in the class will make a face,
or wave their hand in the air - anything to show the teacher
that they know more than the unfortunate reader.
Perhaps the teacher herself will correct the mistake, or will say,
"Are you sure?"

Even though he's my favorite character... can't say I would agree on the stereotypical American movie military characterization they gave him...guess it's what makes him a badace

The band says the giant superstore chain refused to stock its latest CD, "21st Century Breakdown," because Wal-Mart wanted the album edited for language and content, and they refused.

One of these implicates problems for world order.
With an increasingly interconnected international system and the majority if the world’s population excluded from prosperity, even greater political, social, environmental and, therefore, economic disruption of the world economy can be anticipated.
This is not a new argument but it is one worth re-emphasizing in the contemporary conditions of the absence of superpower rivalry and an increasing plurality of antagonistically poised voices and social forces.
Greater disruption in and by the ‘periphery’ now tends to have more immediate consequences within the ‘core’, and the ‘core’ itself is not immune from many of these trends: it ‘imports’ the consequences of poverty.
The pressure on Europe and the US of refugees and migrants fleeing conflict and poverty is obvious (chapter 2).
Any new migration and its containment constitute a major new security risk, and this is likely to be exacerbated by the continuing reproduction of extreme inequality in the distribution of wealth on a global scale.

The effectiveness of the protective masks for such a severe situation has been reported at only 35%.
