I start by apologising for my delay in responding to your order,
We did receive it at the beginning of last week.
The reason for this delay is because the delivery charge of ￡30 that you paid, only applies to UK addresses,
so I have been trying to find the cheapest way of delivering it to you, in the hope you won't have to pay extra.
Luckily, I have had success and we are able to ship your table as soon as it is made at no extra cost.
We have no tables in stock however, so the date for delivery of your table will be week beginning 16th February.
Once again, apologies for the delay, I will be in touch next year.
昨年末に海外のショッピングサイトでテーブルを購入しました。
上記は決済完了の連絡がなく問い合わせた際に送られてきたメール文です。
「なるべく追加送料を抑えるための方法を探していたため連絡が遅れたが、
余計な出費なく送る方法が見つかった。ただ、在庫がないため配送にはもう少し時間がかかる」
と意訳しましたが、最後近くの文で
「the date for delivery of your table will be week beginning 16th February. 」
とあるのは、到着と発送のどちらを意味しているのでしょうか？
教えてください。よろしくお願いします。
