On a different note,
>> is used for a link. So to type >> in a name box doesn't make sense
because even if you click >>1 in a name box, that doesn't direct you to
a post #1. >> works only when it is used in a comment field.
If you want to show you are the poster #1, just wirte 1 in your name box.
That's just my opinion but that's what everybody does in 2ch,
