実際には使わないとネイティブに言われた。
「consult a doctor」のように、「応答」がある相手に対して使うのだと。
なので「辞書を引く」は「look up」で覚えるように言われた。

一応、勉強という意味では、「新しい辞書を常に使うほうが良い」って本で読んだ。
なぜかというと、「新しい辞書は、昔の辞書よりも改善されているから、
出来がいいに決まっている」ということだった。
「新しいのが出たときに、すかさず、同じタイトルの辞書に買い換えたほうがいい。」とあった。
また、読みやすくなっているはずだからと。
とくに古い語学関係の本は、あまり解りやすくないことが多い。
そういう書き方をしていた時代の本だから。
古い辞書も、新しい辞書も、どちらも参照してみて。
