No I haven't read the book before.
You just believe in the media that you want to believe.
Even if China has lesser freedom of press, it doesn't prove what you believe is right one,
there's a crackdown or healthy-minded Tibetans unlike Chinese.
What I mean is, have you ever considered learning Chinese language?
Have you traveled China?
It is not a matter of logic, but likes and dislikes.
Which side will win is desided in the first place before the race begins.
Please remember the fact that the Japanese Ministry checks your textbook before you read.

I don't think that people should stereotype China and the Chinese people from
their own cultural point of view because China is completely different from the Western
civilization. Westerners think that China is still a horrble place at present.
However, China and the Chinese people enjoy the happiest period in the 2000s.
All of you should study the history of China in which too many people have died by natural
disasters, famine and wars. Therefore, even though so many people have died by a powerful
earthquake in in Sichuan province, it doesn't matter in China. Do you know how many
people were killed in the Cultural Revolution? It must be at least forty millions people were killed,
but it is not a so big problem. Therefore, you should not estimate human rights and freedom of speech
because they are not so good for the Chinese society. These rights and freedom will cause a lot of
problems in China, which might kill so many people.

In reality, hard-working does not always guarantee money,

In the criminal law, the basic concept of the responsibility lies in one's
free intention. The criminals are accused because they have evil intention that make
them select the illegal conducts.
The Akiba murderer seems to have normal consciousness, and so, he must have full-fledgd free
intention. In a nutshell, it's he himself that loaded a bullet, and pulled the trigger.
We shouldn't pass on the responsibility to our society. The main cause

The biggest problem exists in Japanese egalitarianism.
So we Japanese soon compare ourselves to others and feel "Oh I win!" "Oh I lose"
Envy comes from this.
In a word, we Japanese should have strong self identity and our own value.
To achieve this, Japanese education and value must be changed.

ex-boyfriend the other day.
He has asked someone's help and advice, like me...
Because he is really worried about his job these days.
Such as he's thinking of going to quit his job and so on.
To tell the truth, I broke up with him about 5 months ago.
He's 5 years yonger than me. He graduated from university
in Nagoya, and decided to start new job in Osaka last spring.
After few months later, he got transferd to Nara.
He was really busy from then on. (He is still busy now)
He couldn't take a day off,and had to work overtime.
So it was so hard to keep relations between him and me
at that time.
But we still keep in touch by e-mail once in a while.
I wish I could help his matter. But I couldn't advice to him
easily... I hope to it turns out well!
I'm sorry for writing my poor English diary.

some Europeans say that killing whales shold be forbidden
one reason is that whales are mamal as human and very intelligent
it seems that they can communicate with each other by their unique means

Anyone worried about American society's decay need only let this book fall open to the story about a supposed trend among Japanese mothers
who have sex with their sons "to keep [the boys'] minds from wandering" while cramming for entrance exams (it isn't clear whether for college or high school).

small question...
I am a white teenager girl, and i always liked Japanese guys,
but i also see that it's rare for a Japanese guy to date a white girl,i see more japanese girls date white guys...
I look very different from a japanese girl :
i have blonde hair, i have very white skin color,i'm little taller then japanese girls are...
And as i saw japanese guys prefer girls who act like them, little shy, polite and you get it(i hope...)
Well everyone always said to me that i act like a japanese girl..i know japanese,i know japanese culture well,i have japanese friends
...and my friend(japanese friend) once told me that if i wasen't looking so different in the look, nobody would ever guess i'm not japanese.
Right now i'm not living in japan, but i'v been there and i think of going to live there for long time(lifetime),
i want to have a japanese boyfriend but i think that it doesn't matter how japanese do i act or that i know japanese,
i think japanese guys are gonna be kind of scared of me,and won't even try to know me just because of my look
...i know it's a kind of weird question and nobody might know,
but is there any chance i will be treated as japanese just because i am who i am and not because of how i look like?

Video games did not drove him crazy, I suppose.
I guess he thought the more cruel and stupider the way he kill, the more effective and appealing.
It's a pity to think that some 30,000 people commit suicide each year but
they do not change anything at all. They just silently disappear from the world.
We should not forget the fact that Kato broke through an atmosphere of this nation by himself.
It would be sad if he had killed persons as poor as, or poorer than him.
But who knows? If I were a victim, I don't know which is sadder to be
killed at the depth of sadness or the top of happiness.

In their context, killing unintelligent animal is fine.

what I want to say by using “inteligence”is that all animals which have high evolved brain
,such as whale, dog cat, horce, cow..., can feel terror and despair if they are killed in cruel way.
(of cause, it is not forgiven to kill low creature in such cruel way)
so, when we have to kill creatures, we should kill them without making them seriously seffering.
>So here is a question to you: Which is more cruel to kill?
intelligent mammals? or unintelligent humans?
no matter how unintelligent a certain people are, and even if they they have a handicap in brain,
they can feel pleasure and sadness as other normal people.
so, killing either of them is equally cruel
how do you think?

I ain't 787 but here is my answer.
"Don't kill becoz it is intelligent" This isn't a good reason.
To kill or not to kill should be up to the target's population.

That's an important issue.
What do I think?
We can't help choosing as we go on living.
People who chose to support coral reaf chose not to support hungry children.
For some people, wild animals are more important than humans.
You cannot call them cruel.
To choose something means to ignore others.

Just trying to give you some constructive critiscm
90 years should be 90th.
he had been should be he has been. (been is already past tense)
there too many commas in "...these days, but now, in Zimbabwe, the neighboring country, .."
Remember, each time there's a comma, you have to pause while speaking. It would sound weird pausing 4 times during that sentence.
You can use "...these days, but now in the neighboring country Zimbabwe, ..."
are in crisis should be is in crisis. (are is plural, you're only talking about one country)
You don't need the word 'the' before President Mugabe.
839:名無しさん@英語勉強中

840:名無しさん@英語勉強中
08/06/29 00:23:58
Just trying to give
→Just give you
"I tried to give you some advices" indicates "I gave you some advices but in vain".
It means you failed to give some constructive critisisms, so you should delete "trying".
841:838
08/06/29 02:47:19

'Just trying' does not always mean it will be in vain, and that it will fail.
'Just give you' is not correct either. "Just giving you some constructive critisicm" would be okay as well.
Also criticism can be singular and plural. Just like advice can be singular or plural as well, thus no need for the s at the end of advice.

Because this thread is for English learners, you might as well try to
write proper English.
I think using slang isn't cool; non-native speakers who try to use it
won't become a master of the English language.
