when my name was called by someone.

speak for a moment, and I was just staring at the sight
because my consciousness hadn't become clear after a
sudden （禿しくｶﾞｲｼｭﾂ）rise (uprising).

(3)I asked K, who looked like a black shadow, what he was wanting.
He answered he didn't have anything special but that he had
(→hadﾄﾙ) wanted to see whether I had already fallen asleep or
I was still wake, and that he tried talking（→to talk） to me,
on the way from the bathroom.
(4)I counldn't（→couldn’t） see at all his contenance (→countenance)
and expressions in the face, as he was standing with his back
facing the light of the lamp（背をﾗﾑﾌﾟの灯に向き合せて立つてをつたが
故に藁。硬杉）, but his voice sounded to me calmer than usual.
