Hello! Can I ask about your opinion on Daisuke Takahashi? I keep hearing that a lot of people said he deserved to win nationals 2012,
and Hanyu was boo-ed for winning. What do you think? Thank you for answering.

My opinion on Daisuke Takahashi: good skater, not very good jumper (he’s fairly prone to under-rotation - not because his jumps were too small,
rather because his rotational speed was quite slow, his quad toe was unreliable, and his Lutz edge was flat at the best of time).
There was a commotion including, yes, some not-nice name-calling directed at Yuzu, during the medal ceremony
at that year’s Nats (don’t bother trying to look for the TV broadcast of that ceremony, it doesn’t exist because it was that bad).
